To uplift the health wellbeing and socio-economic standards of living for the vulnerable and disadvantaged rural young people.
A community where the vulnerable and disadvantaged rural youth live to realize their future dreams.
We rally the community to break the silence and build awareness about the fundamental role that good Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) plays in enabling adolescent girls and young women to reach their full potential. Since 2018, this run draws participants from partner schools, community members and duty bearers calling them to take action.
This exchange project is designed to create a platform that inspires and brings together young people from different socio-economic backgrounds. Young people from established urban schools get to visit their peers in underprivileged rural schools to share experience, dreams, build friendships, and social networks that will benefit them.
The main goal is to create a reliable, skilled, competent and work driven workforce among the youth groups and networks. Young people today face considerable challenges in creating a bright future for themselves. We therefore strive to advocate for young people to acquire a specific minimum education, knowledge and skills with the corresponding career path.
Our aim is to employ a holistic perspective where quality and modern agricultural practices, inputs and outputs are achieved. We work towards creating enabling synergies for young people to access quality and affordable agricultural inputs, agricultural markets and networks to enable them achieve value addition models and sustainable markets for their products.
We tackle the sanitation crisis by constructing boreholes, gender sensitive latrine blocks and hand washing facilities in rural schools where such do not exist. Water and sanitation are rights, fundamental to all and therefore essential for dignity, empowerment and prosperity. However, in rural Uganda - poor sanitation and hygiene, as well as unequal access to safe drinking water continue to threaten many lives.
Aiming at helping to reduce greenhouse gases and fight climate change; Droty Uganda fully participates in improving the quality of natural environment through providing several seedlings of trees for planting among school going young people and community under the plant one tree for your future project.
Our programs connect and cultivate tomorrow’s change makers.
Through implementing strategic mindset and behavioral change communication interventions, we provide an enabling environment to steer dialogue on issues that affect the wellbeing of young people, we work with volunteers/peer educators in schools and institutions, develop mentor-ship programs and make use of role models or community champions; we use inspirational speakers and establish strategic partnerships and collaborations in our thematic areas and we seek to extend this knowledge to various villages in Kyotera and Rakai.
