Our Objectives
Dreams of the Tropical Youth Uganda is a youth-serving nonprofit organization established in 2016 to uplift the health and socio-economic wellbeing of the vulnerable and disadvantaged rural youth (adolescents and young adults, aged between 12 to 24 years) in Kyotera, Rakai and Masaka districts in rural Uganda. We implement a strategic and behavioural change communication intervention to encourage smart choices.

Our history
Dreams of the Tropical Youth Uganda is a youth-led and youth-centered non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to empowering vulnerable and disadvantaged rural youth. It was founded in January 2016 as a community-based organization (CBO) and later gained official registration with the National NGO Bureau in November 2017.
Our Vision
A community where less privileged rural young people lead healthy and fulfilling lives.

Our Mission
To build the capacity of the less privileged rural young people to enable them to recognize and use the resources around them for their holistic empowerment.

Objectives
- To improve Adolescent and Youth Reproductive Health and Rights through addressing community mobilization, STIs including HIV, alcohol and drug abuse, poor menstruation and other service delivery issues such as coordination monitoring and evaluation.
- To ensure adequate access to water, sanitation and hygiene facilities for rural young people.
- To strengthen the institutional framework of youth structures through capacity development.
- To improve productivity and address employment challenges among youth through skills development.
